Copper Cathode

Copper Cathode

At Sepik Minerals, we take great pride in producing premium-quality Copper Cathodes that meet the most stringent industry standards. Our cathodes are manufactured through a meticulous electro-winning process, ensuring they conform to Grade “A” specifications as set by the London Metal Exchange (LME). With a commitment to excellence, we guarantee high-purity copper that delivers outstanding performance for various industrial applications.

Our Copper Cathodes boast a minimum purity of 99.99%, making them an ideal choice for industries that demand superior conductivity and durability. Each cathode is precisely crafted, measuring 1m x 1m and weighing between 55kg and 65kg. To ensure safe handling and transportation, they are securely strapped in bundles weighing up to 2.55T, with an average of 2.5T per bundle. For logistical efficiency, ten bundles are combined to form a standardized lot of 25T.

Adhering to internationally recognized quality benchmarks, our Copper Cathodes meet the chemical and physical specifications outlined in BS EN 1978:1998, GB/T 467-2010, and ASTM B115-10 for Grade A copper. Each bundle is clearly marked with a unique identifier, ensuring full traceability and product consistency. To maintain the highest standards, our cathodes undergo strict quality control measures, guaranteeing they are free from nodules, contaminants, and extraneous materials.

At Sepik Minerals, we are dedicated to delivering Copper Cathodes that stand out in terms of purity, durability, and reliability. Our unwavering focus on quality ensures that our clients receive only the best, reinforcing our reputation as a trusted supplier in the global copper industry.

Frequently Asked Question

Copper cathode is a high-purity form of copper, typically containing 99.99% pure copper, produced through the electro-winning or electro-refining process. It serves as the primary raw material for producing copper wire, rods, and other industrial copper products.

Copper cathode is manufactured through an electro-winning or electro-refining process. In electro-winning, copper is extracted from a solution using electrical currents, while electro-refining involves purifying impure copper anodes through an electrolytic process. Both methods ensure high-purity copper suitable for industrial use.

Copper cathodes typically meet Grade “A” specifications set by the London Metal Exchange (LME), ensuring a purity level of at least 99.99% Cu. They comply with international standards such as BS EN 1978:1998, GB/T 467-2010, and ASTM B115-10.

A standard copper cathode measures 1m x 1m and weighs between 55kg and 65kg. For transportation and storage, cathodes are securely bundled into lots of up to 2.55T (average 2.5T per bundle), with ten bundles forming a 25T lot.

Copper cathode is the primary material used in the manufacturing of copper rods, cables, wires, and tubes. It is widely used in industries such as construction, electronics, power generation, telecommunications, and transportation due to its excellent conductivity and durability.
